An anime about four university students obsessed with trains is coming to Japanese television this October. Tetsuryo! meet with Tetsudo Musume follows its protagonists as they travel across Japan to meet and celebrate the people who keep the railways running—a premise that sounds niche until you realize it's being helmed by a genuinely talented production team.

Director Misuzu Hoshino is steering the project, with Aya Satsuki supervising scripts and Hisanori Hashimoto handling character designs. The voice cast reads like a who's who of anime talent: May Tachibana, Mao Shoji, Haruna Fukushima, Hika Tsukishiro, Yukari Anzai, Yuki Nakashima, Asami Seto, Ayaka Ohashi, Misaki Kuno, Kana Ichinose, and Shiori Mikami round out the ensemble.

Perhaps most intriguingly, the ending theme "Watashi Miraisen" is performed by the idol group Tetsuryo Club—a detail that suggests the production is leaning into its railway-enthusiast premise with genuine commitment rather than irony.
