Nia Liston Anime Drops Second Trailer, October 6 Premiere Locked

Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden is coming October 6, and KONAMI animation just released its second official trailer to prove it.

The series will run for two consecutive cours—a full commitment from the studio. The new trailer features the opening theme "Respawn!!" by VTuber Tsunomaki Watame, which is exactly the kind of energy you'd want for a story about a once-invincible heroine reincarnated into a frail young girl, clawing her way back to strength.

The voice cast has expanded with the announcement of Junichi Suwabe, Maaya Uchida, Kazuyuki Okitsu, and Koichi Sakaguchi joining the project. Director Motoki Nakanishi and script supervisor Gigaemon Ichikawa are steering the adaptation, which is based on material from Hobby Japan and Square Enix.

The premise alone—a warrior stripped of power, forced to rebuild from nothing—hits that satisfying underdog-comeback beat. Whether the execution lands will depend on how the studio handles the tonal shift between her former invincibility and her current fragility. October 6 will tell.
