My Girlfriend's Friend Anime Drops Teaser, Reveals Full Production Crew
The anime adaptation of Jura's manga, My Girlfriend's Friend, just dropped a new teaser.
The anime adaptation of Jura's manga Kanojo no Tomodachi is ramping up its promotional push ahead of an October debut, with the official website now sharing a teaser video, a second key visual, and a fuller picture of the production team behind the series.
The show follows Takeru, a high school student caught in a messy love triangle when his girlfriend Kaori's friend Tomoko makes a play to seduce him—the kind of premise that walks a fine line between comedy and chaos. The voice cast includes Ryūga Nagaike as Takeru, Sayahana Hanemurasaki as Kaori, and Miki Hase as Tomoko.
Director Takashi Andō is helming the project at studio Quad, with scriptwriter Gokō Shiraki handling the adaptation. The newly revealed production staff rounds out the crew with prop designer Kazuma Akagi, art director Do Kim Hoan Tran, and color designer Momoka Saeki. WWWave Corporation and Deregula are credited as producer and production company, respectively.
With the teaser now live and the full team in place, the anime is entering its final stretch before October. Whether it leans into comedy or melodrama—or manages both—will likely depend on how Shiraki and Andō navigate the source material's tonal tightrope.
