Fate/Extra Record Reveals Saber in First Character Video

Aniplex has shared the first character promotional video for Fate/Extra Record, the upcoming remake of the original Fate/Extra PlayStation Portable game, and it's focused on Saber. The video offers a first real look at how the character will appear in this reimagined version, which has been in development since the project was first announced back in July 2020 during the franchise's 10th anniversary.

The game is set to launch on January 28 across a wide range of platforms: Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. Aniplex will handle the release in most regions, while Marvelous Europe will publish the game in Europe and Australia.

When it arrives, Fate/Extra Record will be available in two editions. There's a physical Limited Edition for those who prefer a tangible copy, alongside a Digital Deluxe Edition for players who'd rather go the download route. Both will give you access to the full remake experience.

It's worth noting that the game's director, Kazuya Nino, stepped down from the project due to personal reasons and health concerns. Despite that change in leadership, the project has continued moving forward, and this character video suggests the team is ramping up its promotional push as the January launch date draws closer.
