The Digimon Beatbreak anime is shifting gears this month. Starting July 12 with episode 38, the series launches the "Kyō Arc," bringing a new character into the fold with a shadowy connection to the existing cast.

Voice actor Shinichirō Miki joins the lineup as Sōji Kuroshio, a former member of the Five Elements Star who harbors a mysterious obsession with Kyo Sawashiro. The casting hints at internal conflict and unresolved history—exactly the kind of narrative tension that tends to shake up a series' status quo.

The anime, directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto and produced by Toei Animation, continues to build its ensemble. The existing cast includes Miyu Irino as Tomoro Tenma and Megumi Han voicing Gekkomon, anchoring the show's core dynamic as this new arc unfolds.
