Bungo Stray Dogs Mobile Game Shuts Down This Friday
Bungo Stray Dogs: Tales of the Lost mobile game is shutting down this Friday.
Bungo Stray Dogs: Tales of the Lost is ending service on Friday, marking the close of a nine-year run for the mobile game.
The game launched in Japan in 2017 and reached English-speaking players in July 2018. Crunchyroll published it from November 2018 through November 2020 before the title moved to other hands.
The shutdown arrives as the Bungo Stray Dogs franchise continues elsewhere. The manga, created by Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa, debuted in December 2012 and remains active. The anime adaptation started in April 2016, and the fifth season aired from July to September 2023. The franchise also includes the 2018 film Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple.
Mobile game shutdowns are routine in the industry, but they're still a reminder that even licensed titles tied to ongoing franchises don't guarantee permanent digital shelf space. For players who invested time in Tales of the Lost, Friday is the final window to engage with this particular corner of the Bungo Stray Dogs universe.
