Original anime "Vertex Force" premieres October 3 with a star-studded cast.
A new original anime called Vertex Force is hitting screens October 3, and it's bringing serious talent to the table. Directed by Kazuhiro Takamura—who's also handling character design and script oversight—the series follows Akira Todo and his family as they navigate life with a secret power called "Engine."
The show debuts at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, with streaming available on U-NEXT and other services in Japan. The main cast includes Makoto Koichi, Kaede Hondo, Ami Koshimizu, Megumi Han, and Rie Takahashi, with Akira's sister Haruka also central to the story.
Takamura's dual role as director and creative lead suggests a tightly controlled vision for what appears to be a character-driven narrative about a family harboring an extraordinary ability. The October launch gives the series a solid fall slot in the anime calendar.
