Steins;Gate Re:Boot Xbox version delayed to October 29 for Western launch.
Spike Chunsoft is holding the Xbox Series X|S version of Steins;Gate Re:Boot until October 29, aligning the console release with its Western debut across all platforms.
Japan gets the game first on August 20 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The West follows on October 29 for PS5, PS4, Switch, and Switch 2—but Xbox players everywhere will have to wait until then. It's a staggered rollout that prioritizes the Japanese launch window while syncing the Western console versions to a single date.
The game overhauls the Steins;Gate formula with revamped character designs and new story content, including a 'Gamma Worldline' arc. Physical editions will ship in standard and Steelbook variants, the latter featuring fresh cover art by huke.
The delay is modest but worth noting if you were banking on an earlier Xbox arrival. For everyone else, August 20 is the mark.
