The 1998 psychological anime Serial Experiments Lain is getting a September revival through a collaboration with fashion brand SEVESKIG, titled "Let's All Love Lain."

The event runs September 2–9, 2023, split across two venues. Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas will screen all 13 episodes back-to-back, while Laforet Harajuku hosts a popup exhibition through September 8. Both locations offer a limited-edition "Let's All Love Lain" badge to visitors.

SEVESKIG's contribution includes seven pieces from its 2026–27 autumn/winter collection—long T-shirts, cardigans, and other apparel bearing Lain imagery. Original merchandise rounds out the offering: lenticular A3 posters and acrylic keychains.

The timing is notable. Serial Experiments Lain remains one of anime's most influential psychological thrillers, and a full theatrical screening is rare enough to justify the trip for fans. The fashion angle—pairing a 25-year-old cyberpunk narrative with contemporary streetwear—signals how thoroughly the series has embedded itself in anime culture. SEVESKIG's involvement suggests Lain has crossed from niche cult status into mainstream fashion-adjacent territory.

This is the kind of collaboration that works because the source material demands it: Lain is visual, unsettling, and aesthetically distinctive. A popup and screening event respects that. Whether you're there for the clothes, the episodes, or just the badge, the real draw is the excuse to sit with one of anime's strangest, most rewarding series in a room full of people who get it.
