Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 arrives October 2026 on HIDIVE.
Studio C2C is bringing Reincarnated as a Sword back for a second season, and it's heading somewhere new. The anime will premiere in October 2026 as part of HIDIVE's Fall lineup, streaming exclusively on the platform.
Director Shinji Ishihira returns to helm the new season, which will adapt the Sky Island Arc from Yu Tanaka's original light novels. The returning voice cast includes Ai Kakuma, Shinichiro Miki, Goto Hiroki, Yuma Uchida, Shiori Izawa, and Show Hayami.
A fresh trailer and key visual dropped alongside the announcement, teasing the arc's setting and showcasing the opening theme "DREAM OF BUTTERFLY" by FZMZ. The production staff remains largely intact from Season 1, with Takahiro Nagano and Atsuki Saito returning as well.
The original series, which premiered in 2023, followed the premise exactly as advertised: a swordsmith reincarnated as an actual sword. Season 2 promises to deepen that peculiar premise with a new setting and fresh narrative stakes.
