Marvel's Maximum X-Men Rise as Avengers Fall
Maximum X-Men, led by Storm, emerges as Avengers fall in Marvel's new comic series.
The Avengers are going down, and mutantkind is stepping up. Marvel Comics announced Maximum X-Men at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, a new series that launches directly from the fallout of Avengers: Armageddon. When Earth's Mightiest Heroes collapse, Storm and her team fill the power vacuum.
The roster is stacked. Storm leads a lineup that includes Wolverine, Colossus, Bishop, Iceman, Psylocke, Firestar, and Justice — a mix of heavy hitters and tactical depth. Chris Yost handles the writing, with Tony Daniel on art. It's a pairing built for momentum.
Maximum X-Men #1 hits shelves in December 2026.
