Firefly Wedding Anime Locks October Premiere, Adds Two Voice Actors
Firefly Wedding anime premieres October 9, adding Kento Ito and Kenjiro Tsuda to cast.
The Firefly Wedding TV anime is coming October 9, 2026, and it's already moving fast. A second teaser trailer dropped alongside two new cast announcements: Kento Ito will voice Kotaro Ogawa, and Kenjiro Tsuda will voice Mitsueda.
Director Takahiro Kamei is steering the project at studio david production, with music from NOGRID. The series adapts Oreco Tachibana's manga, which has already cleared 4.5 million copies in circulation through Shogakukan's MangaONE app—a solid indicator the source material has legs.
Japan gets a head start: a premiere screening is scheduled for September 6, featuring the first three episodes and a cast talk. That's two months before the official broadcast launch, which is a fairly standard play for building momentum on a manga adaptation with real traction.
The casting of Tsuda, a reliable voice actor with a strong track record in dramatic roles, suggests the series isn't treating its material as lightweight. Ito's addition rounds out what appears to be a carefully assembled ensemble. For a manga that's already moved millions of copies, the production values and talent allocation track—this isn't a rushed adaptation riding on existing hype. It's a deliberate build.
October 9 is the date to mark.
