Dark Fantasy 'Maiden Blood' Anime Confirmed for 2027

A new original TV anime called Maiden Blood is headed to screens in 2027, bringing together director Seiji Kishi, writer Makoto Uezu, character designer LAM, and studio Polygon Pictures for a dark fantasy action series.

The premise: a world overrun by demons, where characters wield blood as a weapon. It's the kind of high-concept grimdark setup that tends to land well with the action crowd—and the creative team assembled suggests someone's taking it seriously.

Voice actors Iori Saeki and Yukari Anzai will anchor the cast as Eva and Epica, described as mysterious sisters. A teaser PV and visual have already dropped, so the project is past the announcement-only phase.

With Polygon Pictures handling animation and this particular roster of names attached, Maiden Blood is shaping up as one to watch when it lands next year.
