Anime Expo has officially announced that the celebrated illustrator Yoshitaka Amano will be a guest at this year's event, scheduled for July 2-5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This marks his continued presence, as he was a guest in 2023 as well.
About Yoshitaka Amano
Amano is acclaimed for his distinctive artistic style and contributions to several iconic franchises including Vampire Hunter D and Final Fantasy. He is also recognized for his collaboration with Neil Gaiman on the graphic novel Sandman: The Dream Hunters. His career began at the young age of 15 when he joined Tatsunoko Production, quickly making a significant impact on the anime scene.
Recent Projects
In addition to his past achievements, Amano has been involved in several recent projects. He played a key role in the Gibiate series, a collaborative effort announced at Anime Expo 2019 and premiered in July 2020. Recently, he also provided character designs for the Exception anime, released on Netflix in October 2022.
Last year's Anime Expo set a record with over 410,000 attendees from more than 65 countries, showcasing the event's immense popularity within the anime community.
