Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers: Cast and Teaser Released

The official website for the upcoming series, Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers, has unveiled its main cast, a teaser promo, and visual, revealing exciting details about the television sequel set to air in January 2026. The cast includes:

• Yamato Houjou: Shunsuke Takeuchi (known for Kanata no Astra)
• Musashi Houjou: Ayumu Murase (featured in Devilman: Crybaby)
• Kaito Uesugi: Junya Enoki (starred in Jujutsu Kaisen)
• Shion Ishida: Kentarou Kumagai (from Grancrest Senki)

The direction of the anime will be handled by Youichi Fujita (Gintama) at Sunrise, while the series composition is managed by Shougo Mutou (Biohazard: Infinite Darkness), who will also pen the script. Character designs are credited to Yuuhei Murota (Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san), and music composition will be by Shuuji Katayama (Overlord).

The original Samurai Troopers anime aired for 39 episodes from Spring 1998 to Winter 1989 and has since spawned three original animation sequels, the last being a 5-episode OVA in 1991. Additionally, a manga adaptation by Hajime Yatate and Ryuuichi Hoshino was serialized in Comic Bonbon starting in 1988, with Kodansha publishing its concluding volume in 1989.
