
Yanmar’s Anime Miru: Paths To My Future Now on Crunchyroll
Crunchyroll now streams Yanmar's original anime, Miru: Paths To My Future.
Crunchyroll has announced the streaming of "Miru: Paths To My Future," an original anime project from machinery manufacturer Yanmar Holdings. All five episodes are now available on the platform, with the anime having originally premiered on MBS on April 2 and on Tokyo MX on April 3. The episodes feature varied stories, reflecting on themes of future technology and human interaction. Each episode showcases different staff and studios:
- Episode 079: "Stardust Memory" - Follows a space janitor, Yoshimura, who, after a decade of collecting space debris, faces retirement as a new, younger pilot joins him. Cast includes Kōichi Yamadera and Saori Hayami.
- Episode 101: "The King of the Forest" - Mario, a tour guide in a tropical rainforest, discovers an illegal gold mining site that threatens the environment.
- Episode 217: "Londonderry Air" - Ame pursues her dream of becoming a pianist while working at a construction site.
- Episode 630: "Re: MIRU" - A diplomat, Toshi, grapples with the aftermath of a collapsed peace negotiation.
- Episode 926: "Wait, I'll Be There" - Airu travels in a post-apocalyptic world, seeking to make flowers bloom with the help of magical sand.
General themes involve the robot MIRU, created to assist humanity in problem-solving without violence, fundamentally changing lives through its engagements. This project was headed by executive producer Masuo Ueda and developed with insights from various collaborators.
