New Trailer and Visual Unveiled for Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2

During the Anime Festival Kassel in Germany, the staff behind the Wistoria: Wand and Sword anime unveiled a brand new trailer and visual for its much-anticipated second season.

Premiere Date

The second season is set to premiere in April 2026. Following the series' successful run, fans can look forward to continuing the journey alongside its beloved characters.

Behind the Scenes

Director Tatsuya Yoshihara returns in a general director role for this season, while Hideaki Nakano takes on the lead direction, coming from renowned animation studios Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures. Additionally, Sayaka Ono resumes her role as character designer and chief animation director, teamed with Yūki Hayashi, who will again compose the music score.

Recap of Season 1

The first season aired starting in July 2024 on TBS and affiliated channels, streamed concurrently on Crunchyroll, which also offered an English dub. The anime faced a slight delay in airing one of its episodes, but it captivated audiences with its unique blend of magical adventure and fantasy themes.

Manga Adaptation

The source material, a manga series created by Fujino Ōmori and illustrated by Toshi Aoi, has been published in English by Kodansha USA, with the 10th volume released recently on November 25, 2025. The narrative follows Will Serfort, a young man who enters Regarden Magic Academy pursuing greatness in a world of magic, despite his initial lack of magical abilities.
