Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant! Anime Welcomes Yuhko Kaida as Jean

The upcoming summer 2025 anime Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant! has cast Yuhko Kaida to voice the character of Jean, who serves as a vital mentor to the protagonist, Dennis. The announcement was made on August 11, just days ahead of the character's debut in the series.

Kaida, known for her roles in Gintama and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, will portray Jean, the head chef of Blacks Restaurant and Dennis' foster mother. Jean has taken Dennis under her wing, teaching him culinary skills essential for surviving in their unique world. She is set to appear in the seventh episode of the anime, airing in Japan on August 14.

Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant! is based on the cooking-themed fantasy light novel series by Yuki Kimikawa, which first premiered on July 3, 2025. It follows Dennis, a former superstar adventurer who channels his passion for cuisine while contending with a quirky clientele at his new eatery.

With the addition of Kaida, fan excitement is at an all-time high as viewers look forward to seeing how her character enriches the storyline and interaction with Dennis.
