Todd McFarlane Unveils New Spawn Comic Series
The Spawn Universe is about to deck the halls with blood and brimstone this November, as Image Comics’ latest solicitations tease a slate of hellish holiday chaos and brutal battles. Leading the charge is I Saw Santa: A Spawn Universe Christmas Story #1 (of 2), a twisted seasonal tale from Chris Killian, Andrew Sanders, and artist Thomas Nachlik. The story follows a disturbed child who takes lifelong vengeance against Santa Claus after receiving coal in his stocking—leaving Sam and Twitch to piece together the bodies, while Spawn himself must put an end to the nightmare before Christmas.
Beyond the holiday carnage, Todd McFarlane’s flagship series Spawn #372 continues the fallout of Nyx’s assault on Heaven, with humanity now rising against the Hellspawn himself. Liam Sharp expands the mythos in Spawn: The Dark Ages #2, where the Devil Spawn’s mix of honor and brutality collides with the Saxons in a medieval bloodbath. Meanwhile, The Curse of Sherlee Johnson #4 inches closer to revealing whether Sherlee is the prophesied child, as danger stalks the Carrier of Cities, and The Scorched #48 tests the team’s breaking point after a devastating death.
Also on shelves: King Spawn #51 by Rory McConville and Yildiray Çınar, Gunslinger Spawn: Deadly Tales #13 from Jimmy Palmiotti and Patric Reynolds, Rat City #20 by Erica Schultz and Zé Carlos, and Sam and Twitch: Case Files #21. With holiday horror, medieval mayhem, cosmic consequences, and street-level grit, November promises to be one of the Spawn Universe’s most explosive months yet.
