Bandai Namco Filmworks has recently unveiled two exciting trailers for The Obsessed, an upcoming musical anime film based on Shinji Ishii's novel Toritsukare-otoko (Obsessed Man).
Trailer Highlights
The first trailer features the musical number "Fanfare ~Koi ni Ukarete~" performed by main actors Masaya Sano and Moka Kamishiraishi. The second trailer introduces the film's theme song, "Fanfare," created by Awesome City Club.

Sano and Kamishiraishi will also perform the songs throughout the film. Awesome City Club's member atagi is contributing to the soundtrack with five songs as well as background music, including the theme song.
Directed by Wataru Takahashi, known for his work on Crayon Shin-chan films, the script is penned by Naoyuki Miura. Character design is by Masatsugu Arakawa, while Bandai Namco Filmworks takes on distribution.
Film Release Information
The film is set to premiere in Japan on November 7, with screenings at the 38th Tokyo International Film Festival.
About the Novel
Originally released in 2001, Toritsukare-otoko narrates the story of Giuseppe, known for his fleeting obsessions, who falls in love at first sight with a balloon seller named Pechka. As Giuseppe draws near, he learns of the sadness she carries, compelling him to leverage his past obsessions to support her.
