The King of Fighters AFK Game Launches Globally on September 4

Netmarble has announced that the global launch of the King of Fighters AFK smartphone game, part of SNK's well-known franchise, is set for September 4. The game had previously entered early access in May for players in Canada, Indonesia, and the Philippines, where they were rewarded with exclusive characters such as Mature, Iori, and Leona.

Described as a "character collectible AFK RPG," the game showcases beloved characters from the franchise in charming pixel art graphics. Players will have the opportunity to build their own decks by combining various characters and formations, facilitating dynamic 5v5 team battles.

Initial details about the game were revealed during the Tokyo Game Show in September 2024, and pre-registration for eager players is currently available. Notably, SNK also released The King of Fighters XV on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, back in February 2022.
