The Food Diary of Miss Maid, a manga by Susumu Maeya that has captivated readers since its launch in December 2019, is officially being adapted into an anime series. Fans can now look forward to the upcoming premiere, scheduled for sometime in 2026, as the official website and social media accounts for the series have been launched.

The adaptation will be directed by Ryosuke Senbo, known for his work on Yo-kai Watch. The script will be overseen by Natsuko Takahashi, along with Saeka Fujimoto, while Chiaki Abe will be responsible for character designs. The music for the series will be composed by Katsutoshi Kitagawa, produced by the collaboration between EMT Squared and Magic Bus. A debut trailer and visual have been released, further amplifying anticipation for the series.

Leading the cast is Kana Ichinose, recognized for her role as Suletta Mercury in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, who will voice the protagonist Suzume Tachibana. Kodansha USA, which publishes the manga in English, describes the plot: what does a maid do when she unexpectedly finds herself in Japan for a year? She indulges in the country's diverse culinary offerings, from sweet treats like taiyaki and melon bread to savory delights such as takoyaki and onigiri. As Suzume embarks on her delicious journey, viewers may find themselves tempted to join her on this appetizing adventure.
