About the Manga

The Darwin Incident, also known in the West as Darwin Jihen, is a Sci-Fi manga expertly crafted by Shun Umezawa, first serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon since June 2020. Currently, the manga continues its publication and has released 9 compiled volumes.

Synopsis

The story follows the Alliance for the Liberation of Animals, an ecoterrorist group that rescues a pregnant chimpanzee from a lab to give birth to a hybrid known as Charlie Stein. Fast forward fifteen years, as Charlie prepares to enter a normal institute where he befriends a girl named Lucy, the Alliance's increasingly radical views threaten to pull him into their extremist plots.
