Street Fighter Movie Announces Cast and New Release Date
The full cast of the new Street Fighter movie has been unveiled.
Legendary has released a retro-style teaser for the upcoming Street Fighter movie, which officially unveils its full cast. Although the teaser does not include footage from the film, it sets an exciting tone for this adaptation directed by Kitao Sakurai, now set to premiere on October 16, 2026.
This movie falls under a new three-year partnership between Legendary and Paramount Pictures. Notably, previous distributor Warner Bros. will still handle major franchises like the upcoming Minecraft sequel and Dune: Part Three.
The plot is set in 1993, coinciding with the arcade release of Street Fighter II. It follows estranged fighters Ryu (played by Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) as they are recruited by the enigmatic Chun-Li (Callina Liang) for the World Warrior Tournament. They must confront not only their fierce opponents but also their inner demons, with failure leading to dire consequences.
