Square Enix has officially announced that the services for its smartphone games, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and Dragon Quest of the Stars, will conclude on October 31 at 12:00 noon JST. As part of this announcement, sales of in-game Gems for Dragon Quest of the Stars have been discontinued, while Final Fantasy Brave Exvius has launched its "Grand Finale Campaign."

First released in Japan in October 2015, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius later made its way to North America in June 2016, with its English version ending service in October 2024. Developed by Gumi subsidiary A-Lim, the game draws inspiration from the previous Brave Frontier title and features renowned art by Yoshitaka Amano. Players engage in epic battles by forming five-character parties from the iconic Final Fantasy franchise, tackling dungeons, battling bosses, and gaining experience.

On the other hand, Dragon Quest of the Stars debuted in Japan in 2015, focusing on exploring a vast world and battling monsters. The mobile game also saw a global launch in February 2020, but its service ended in 2021, marking a brief life in international markets.

Both games have been significant in their respective gaming communities, attracting players with their engaging content and character-driven narratives.
