SPY x FAMILY Season 3 Opening Song Unveiled

The anime adaptation of SPY x FAMILY has announced that the opening theme for its third season will be performed by the rock band Spitz. The title of the song is "Akari wo Mamoru".

In addition, the official YouTube channel of TOHO Animation has released the animated opening sequence without credits for the upcoming season. And, in case yo missed it, earlier this month there the ending theme was released.

Mark your calendars! The third season of SPY x FAMILY is set to premiere in Japan on October 4 of this year. The series will also be available for legal simultaneous viewing in Latin America via Crunchyroll.

Production for Season 3 will be handled by WIT Studio and CloverWorks, with direction by Yukiko Imai, composition by Rino Yamazaki, character design by Kazuaki Shimada, and soundtrack composition by (K)NoW_NAME.

Based on the manga by Tatsuya Endo, SPY x FAMILY premiered in Japan on April 9, 2022. The series has two seasons with a total of 37 episodes and a film. It is legally available on Crunchyroll and Netflix, complete with a Spanish dub.

In SPY x FAMILY, corrupt politicians and nationalistic forces threaten the fragile peace between Ostania and Westalis. The renowned spy known as "Twilight" assumes the identity of "Loid Forger", an esteemed psychiatrist, to gather intel on the elusive politician Donovan Desmond. To execute his plan, he enlists Yor Briar as his pretend wife and adopts six-year-old Anya, a curious orphan. Their mission leads them to the prestigious Eden Academy, where Loid hopes Anya will stand out and provide access to Donovan without raising suspicion.

However, even a skilled spy finds it challenging to maintain the façade of a loving husband and father. Each family member harbors their secrets: Yor is a covert assassin known as "Thorn Princess", and Anya possesses the ability to read minds. Despite being built on deception, the Forger family gradually discovers that their love transcends all.
