Exciting Cast Unveiled for 'Smoking Behind the Supermarket'

The recent ABEMA Anime Festival 2025 has unveiled big news for anime lovers, announcing the lead cast for the highly anticipated adaptation of Jinushi's manga, Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You. This series, set for release on the TBS channel in 2026, is poised to captivate fans with its unique storyline.

Main Cast Details:

• Takuya Satō is set to voice Sasaki, representing the archetype of the overworked office worker.
• Seena Hoshiki will give life to the cheerful Yamada (also known as Tayama in the series).

This cast announcement was shared through a promotional video, enhancing excitement for the adaptation.

The narrative follows Sasaki, whose monotonous work life is enlivened by visits to the supermarket, where he enjoys encounters with Yamada. However, when he suddenly misses a day at the store, he meets Tayama, a mysterious biker girl who leads him toward a hidden smoking retreat.

The manga first appeared on X/Twitter in March 2022 and later secured its place in Square Enix's Big Gangan magazine by August the same year. Since July 25, Square Enix has published seven compiled volumes, increasing its availability through platforms like Manga UP! Global and Comikey.

Additionally, Square Enix Manga & Books will distribute the English editions in February 2024, ensuring accessibility for all fans.
