San Diego Comic-Con Malaga Returns in 2026

The San Diego Comic-Con Malaga is making a comeback from October 1-4, 2026, at the Palace of Trade Fairs and Congresses of Malaga (FYCMA). After a successful inaugural event, organizers are set to enhance the attendee experience.

What to Expect

The upcoming event promises several improvements based on learnings from the first edition. Some key updates include:

  • Expanded Exhibitor Hall: A new pavilion will double the space for exhibitors to showcase their work.
  • Dedicated Areas: A separate Artists' Alley and Gaming Plaza will be introduced, facilitating better crowd flow.
  • New Auditorium: A space designed for panels and presentations will be part of the layout.

A Focus on Fan Experience

Fernando Piquer, General Director of San Diego Comic-Con Malaga, stated that they are prioritizing quality and comfort for guests. They aim to maintain the same ticket numbers as last year while enhancing overall event spaces and activities.

The goal is to create an even more comprehensive convention experience, allowing fans, creators, and professionals to celebrate pop culture with ease and space.

San Diego Comic-Con Malaga is unique as it marks the first official expansion of SDCC outside the United States, excluding cruise ships. The inaugural event had notable announcements, including Matt Fraction's upcoming Batman series additions.
