The "Saint Seiya: Kaiō Saiki - Rerise of Poseidon" manga concludes with its fourth volume.
The third compiled volume of Tsunaki Suda's "Saint Seiya: Kaiō Saiki - Rerise of Poseidon" has revealed that the series will end with its upcoming fourth volume. The manga, a spinoff of Masami Kurumada's iconic "Saint Seiya," tells the story of a new threat that arises when Athena's warriors are engaged in battle against Hades, prompting Poseidon, the emperor of the sea, to awaken. Suda began this series in Akita Shoten's Champion RED magazine in September 2022, and it adapted to a bimonthly publishing schedule in October 2024.
The original "Saint Seiya" manga, published by Kurumada from 1986 to 1990, has had a significant cultural impact, inspiring various adaptations, including television series, films, and additional spinoff manga. The original series boasts 35 million copies in print, further solidifying its legacy in the anime and manga industry. Viz Media published the original work in English under the title "Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac." The franchise continues to thrive, with a CG anime remake debuting globally in July 2019, followed by subsequent seasons that have also captured audiences worldwide.
A live-action adaptation, "Knights of the Zodiac," opened in 2023, marking another chapter in the ongoing popularity of the franchise. As fans await the concluding volume of "Rerise of Poseidon," the enduring appeal of "Saint Seiya" remains evident across various formats.
