'Rich Girl Caretaker' Anime Set for July 2026 Release

The official website for the anime adaptation of Yusaku Sakaishi and Sakura Miwabe's Saijo no Osewa light novel series has confirmed a television debut in July 2026. The announcement was made through a newly released teaser promotional video accompanied by details about the main creative staff and cast.

Hobby Japan's HJ Bunko label published the first volume in May 2021, with the latest, the 11th volume, released on October 31. Sorahiko Mizushima also launched a manga adaptation that started in September 2021 and has released its fifth volume as of December 1.

Internationally, Monogatari Novels has obtained licensing rights for the light novel series and is set to release the first English volume, titled Rich Girl Caretaker: I'm Secretly the Caregiver of the Most Popular Girl in This Rich Kid School, on March 3, 2026.

Synopsis

The story follows high school student Itsuki Tomonari, who becomes embroiled in a kidnapping incident that leads him to care for Hinako Konohana, a seemingly perfect yet unskilled member of a wealthy family. As the story unfolds, a unique relationship blossoms between them, highlighting themes of love and companionship.
