In an exciting development for fans of the Bleach series, Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced that Retsu Unohana will be added as a downloadable character in their new 3D arena fighting game, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. This announcement, made via a newly released trailer, highlights that Unohana will be accessible to players on August 25, with those holding season passes getting early access starting soon.

This DLC follows the introduction of Ichigo Kurosaki (Thousand-Year Blood War version) in June, marking the first addition to the game since its launch on March 21. The game's Deluxe Edition not only offers a season pass that includes four characters from the Thousand-Year Blood War arc but also provides early access and additional in-game items such as Soul Crystals. The Ultimate Edition further enhances the experience with exclusive costume sets.

In gameplay, players engage in dynamic battles where they can attack opponents to deplete their Reishi, a vital gauge impacting their health, which is visually represented by nine bars known as Konpaku. Players can execute combos and reverse actions while also building their spiritual power to unleash powerful moves, including the iconic Bankai transformation.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls features beloved characters from the franchise, allowing players to experience battles filled with unique sword abilities. Set to the backdrop of the original manga's narrative, the game draws on the rich lore from the "Substitute Soul Reaper" arc through to the "Arrancar" arc, all while celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Bleach anime.

The game is produced by Katsuaki Tsuzuki, and the opening theme "Die for Love" is performed by MIYAVI, further adding to the excitement surrounding its release.
