Record of Ragnarok Season 3: New Developments Reveal More Cast and Ending Sequence

Warner Bros. Japan has officially begun streaming the clean ending sequence (without credits) for Record of Ragnarok III, based on the acclaimed manga by Shinya Umemura, Azychika, and Takumi Fukui. The new ending features the song "Last breath, Last record" performed by Saori Hayami.

New Cast Announcements

In addition to the stunning new ending sequence, the latest updates reveal three more cast members joining the series:

  • Tsuguo Mogami as Adamas
  • Shunsuke Takeuchi as Sakata Kintoki
  • Kōsuke Toriumi as Siegfried

This follows previous announcements about new cast additions, which include:

  • Makoto Furukawa as Nikola Tesla
  • Daisuke Namikawa as Beelzebub
  • Hiroshi Shirokuma as King Leonidas
  • Kenichi Suzumura as Apollo
  • Shiori Mikami as Alvitr

What to Expect in Season 3

Set to premiere on Netflix on December 10, the new season will introduce a different production team. Kōichi Hatsumi (known for Tokyo Revengers) is set to direct, with Yasuyuki Mutō as the chief writer. Character design will be led by Yōko Tanabe and Hisashi Kawashima. Music for the series will be composed by Yasuharu Takanashi, with the opening theme performed by GLAY titled "Dead or Alive."

The third season promises intense battles with the plot revolving around 13 one-on-one confrontations for humanity’s survival, showcasing epic clashes between gods and humans.

Background on the Series

Record of Ragnarok first premiered on Netflix in June 2021, with its second season debuting in January 2023, followed closely by its second part in July 2023. Viz Media is responsible for the English digital and print release, while Mangamo has held its licensing since March 2022.

The manga has seen immense popularity, with multiple spinoffs and adaptations, highlighting its compelling stories of gods and legendary figures.
