Exciting Launch of Ranma 1/2 Anime's Second Season

The official site for the new anime adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2 has announced that the clean opening sequence for the second season is now streaming. This season, featuring the opening theme song "Wo Ai Ni" (I Love You) performed by Wednesday Campanella, promises to captivate fans.

In an exciting development, there will be two special advance screenings of Season 2 at Tokyo's United Cinema Toyosu on October 4. These events will include talk show segments with the lead cast members, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. JST. Notably, a portion of the 5:30 p.m. segment will be streamed for free on YouTube and X (formerly known as Twitter).

The season will officially premiere on October 4 at 24:55 JST on NTV, with subsequent streaming available on Netflix after the TV broadcast. Toshihiko Seki returns to reprise his role as Mousse from the original series, which aired 32 years ago. Newly confirmed cast members include:

  • Kaori Nazuka as Ukyō Kuonji
  • Kazuhiko Inoue as Happōsai
  • Ako Mayama as Cologne
  • Akira Ishida as Hikaru Gosunkugi

Most of the creative team from the first season is returning for this season, with new appointments including Kōsuke Kawamura as a chief animation director and Ryūta Hayashi joining Chihiro Ōkawa as art directors. The ending theme song, "Panda Girl," will be performed by nishina. The premiere of this anime takes place in October 2024, with availability exclusively on Netflix after airing.
