About Prison School

Created by Akira Hiramoto, Prison School was serialized in Weekly Young Magazine from 2011 to 2017. The manga follows five boys who find themselves among the first male students at a formerly all-girls academy. Known for its outrageous humor, bold themes, and sharp satire, the series remains a standout in modern manga culture.

About the Anime Adaptation

The anime adaptation premiered in July 2015, produced by J.C.STAFF and directed by Takayuki Nagai. Spanning 12 episodes, the show skillfully captured the manga’s over-the-top comedy and provocative charm. A live-action adaptation was also released later that same year, further expanding the series’ cult following.
