Season Highlights

The third season is set to adapt the Monster Association arc, where S-class heroes unite against a formidable array of villains. The season officially kicked off in Japan on October 6 with a special recap broadcast.

Production Team

J.C. Staff is responsible for animating this season, under the direction of Shimpei Nagai. Nagai has revealed his goal to create a more efficient production pipeline by integrating both 2D and 3D animation. He encouraged fans to continue their support for the studio as efforts are made to improve working conditions and develop new talent, despite the studio not being supported by a large corporate entity.

J.C. Staff also animated the second season, aired from April to July 2019, while the anime's first season was produced by Madhouse, broadcast from October to December 2015. This return to J.C. Staff has reignited discussions among fans regarding whether it can meet the high expectations surrounding this beloved adaptation.
