One Piece Live-Action Season 2 Announcement

Netflix has officially announced that the second season of its One Piece live-action series, titled Into the Grand Line, will debut globally on March 10, 2026.

First Look at Drum Island

Alongside the release date, fans were treated to the first images of Drum Island, a significant location in the upcoming season. This season will follow the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew as they embark on their journey through the Grand Line. Expect major story arcs, including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island, eventually leading to the Alabasta Kingdom.

Creative Challenges

In an exclusive feature with Netflix’s Tudum, co-showrunner and writer Joe Tracz shared insights on the challenges involved in bringing Drum Island to life. Tracz described Drum Kingdom as a winter island reminiscent of Winterfell from Game of Thrones, featuring a castle atop a snowy mountain rumored to be haunted.

To simulate the island’s icy environment, the production team creatively used piles of fake snow. “It tricks your brain,” Tracz noted, explaining that the set would evoke a cold feeling despite being filmed during summer.

What to Expect in Season 2

Tracz teased that the upcoming season promises fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet. The mantra for Season 2 is to “scale it all up,” introducing giants and dinosaurs, and even featuring scenes set in the belly of a whale.

Each island in the Grand Line will present new challenges for members of the Straw Hat crew, testing their determination and pushing them toward their dreams.
