Exciting Anime Adaptation: Observation Records of My Fiancée Revealed

The highly anticipated anime adaptation of the light novel series "Observation Records of My Fiancée: The Misadventures of a Self-Proclaimed Villainess" has officially introduced its main cast and several key staff members. On October 3, 2025, the series revealed that Yūsuke Kobayashi will voice Cecil, while Miyu Tomita will portray Bertia. The music will be composed by Yūki Hayashi, with contributions from Luke Standridge and Asa Taylor, under the production of Futokoro Gatana. New staff members include:

The anime is set to premiere in 2026, directed by Junichi Yamamoto at Ashi Productions. Miki Matsumoto is adapting the character designs for animation, while Akiko Inoue oversees the series' scripts. The story revolves around Prince Cecil, whose engagement to Bertia, the Chancellor's daughter, leads to unexpected complications as she identifies herself as a villain from an Otome game, humorously attempting to annul their engagement.

The original light novel series was released in English by Hanashi Media, while its manga adaptation is also available in English through Alpha Manga. This adaptation promises to deliver a fun blend of romance and comedic villainy.
