Excitement Builds for "Nohara Hiroshi Hirumeshi no Ryūgi" Spinoff with Upcoming Premiere
The promotional video for the "Nohara Hiroshi Hirumeshi no Ryūgi" anime spinoff of Crayon Shin-chan hints at a delightful new journey as it reveals its opening theme and confirms an October 3 premiere
The official X/Twitter account for the upcoming anime adaptation of Yōichi Tsukahara's "Nohara Hiroshi Hirumeshi no Ryūgi" (The Style of Hiroshi Nohara's Lunch) recently shared a promotional video that previews the show's opening theme titled "Gohan Tabeyo" (Let's EAT), performed by Mega Shinnosuke, a noted fan of the original Crayon Shin-chan series. Slated to debut on October 3 on TV Asahi, this exciting spinoff focuses on Hiroshi Nohara, the beloved father of Shin-chan, as he navigates the challenges of being a 35-year-old salaryman juggling work and lunchtime dilemmas.
Toshiyuki Morikawa reprises his role as Hiroshi Nohara, supported by director Tsukasa Nishiyama at DLE, utilizing Flash-style animation. Notably, the production also involves the creative talents behind the Crayon Shin-chan series, with Hasyashi Mori and Moral penning the scripts, and Koutarou Yamawaki designing the characters. Akifumi Tada is set to compose the music, adding an enriching layer to the anime’s vibrancy.
The manga, which began its run in Futabasha's Manga Town magazine in December 2015, provides a humorous glimpse into Hiroshi's life as he shares food trivia while navigating the often hectic environment of his workplace. The title is a playful nod to the long-running documentary series "Professional: Shigoto no Ryūgi" (Professional: The Style of Work), illustrating the series' appreciation for the pressures of professional life.
