The official website for the upcoming television anime of Yōichi Tsukahara's Nohara Hiroshi Hirumeshi no Ryūgi (The Style of Hiroshi Nohara's Lunch) has recently revealed a new promotional video. This clip provides a quick glimpse into the anime's premise, showcasing Hiroshi Nohara's unique approach to lunchtime choices: whether to opt for affordability, speed, or flavor.

Accompanying this announcement, it has been confirmed that the rock band saba sister will perform the anime's ending theme, titled "Kyō no Gohan wa Nan Darō na" (I Wonder What Today's Meal Will Be).

This spinoff revolves around Hiroshi Nohara, better known as Shin-chan's father, who navigates the challenges of being a 35-year-old salaryman with limited resources. The humor explores themes of food, workplace struggles, and personal anecdotes pertinent to his daily life. Toshiyuki Morikawa will reprise his role as Hiroshi from the original Crayon Shin-chan series.

The anime is directed by Tsukasa Nishiyama, known for his work on various notable shows. The animation will be handled by DLE and Shin-Ei Animation, ensuring a solid production quality. Writers include Hasyashi Mori and Moral, while Koutarou Yamawaki is responsible for character designs and Akifumi Tada for music composition. The opening theme, "Gohan Tabeyo" (Let's Eat), will be performed by Mega Shinnosuke.

Mark your calendars! The anime is set to debut on TV Asahi on October 3. The original manga, which launched in Futabasha's Manga Town magazine in December 2015, transitioned to the Manga Crayon Shin-chan website after the magazine's closure in December 2023. The latest compiled volume was published in May 2024.

This manga pays homage to the workplace documentary series "Professional: Shigoto no Ryūgi". The original Crayon Shin-chan manga, created by Yoshito Usui, debuted in 1990 and has spawned a lasting franchise, from the anime series to various films, games, and merchandise.
