Anticipation Grows for the Second Season of Ranma 1/2 Anime

The official website for the upcoming second season of Rumiko Takahashi's beloved Ranma 1/2 manga has confirmed its premiere date of October 4. Along with this date, the series has revealed its theme songs: the opening theme, "Wo Aini," will be performed by Wednesday Campanella, while the ending theme, "Panda Girl," will be sung by Nishina. The series is set to air on NTV at 24:55, effectively reaching viewers on October 5 at 12:55 a.m., and will also be available for streaming on Netflix shortly after its television broadcast. Returning to the cast, Toshihiko Seki reprises his role as Mousse after a 32-year hiatus. New cast members include Kaori Nazuka as Ukyō Kuonji, Kazuhiko Inoue as Happōsai, Ako Mayama as Cologne, and Akira Ishida as Hikaru Gosunkugi. Most of the original staff from the first season will also be back, ensuring a familiar touch, although Kōsuke Kawamura will join the team as a chief animation director, with Ryūta Hayashi collaborating with Chihiro Ōkawa on art direction.

The first season of the anime premiered in Japan in October 2024 and streamed exclusively on Netflix, setting the stage for the second season to continue captivating audiences with its unique blend of comedy and martial arts.
