New trailer for Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray, which introduces international rivals ahead of its October 2025 release.

During a live-stream dedicated to the Uma Musume franchise, a new trailer for the animated adaptation of Taiyo Kuzumi's manga, Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray, was unveiled. The trailer highlights the introduction of "international rivals" who will make their debut in the anime's eagerly anticipated second part, slated for release in October 2025.

In addition to the trailer, the production team revealed new character visuals alongside the voice actresses bringing them to life. The cast includes Yūko Kaida as Toni Bianca, Shizuka Ishigami as Obey Your Master, Akira Sekine as Moon Light Lunacy, Ayahi Takagaki as Michelle My Baby, and Miyu Tomita as Ellerslie Pride. Notably, the popular band 10-FEET will perform the opening theme for this upcoming installment.

The first part of the anime premiered on April 6, 2025, airing on TBS and 27 affiliate channels, and was broadcast across two seasons with an intermission. The second part will also be available on the It’s Anime FAST channel via Samsung TV Plus in North America, as well as on various international platforms including Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Anime Onegai in Latin America, and ADN in several European countries.

The direction of this installment is helmed by Takehiro Miura, known for his work on Fate/Apocrypha and Sword Art Online the Movie: Progressive. The series composition is managed by Aki Kindaichi, with character designs created by Takuya Miyahara and Keigo Sasaki, both of whom previously worked on Nanatsu no Taizai. The script is written by Masafumi Sugiura, who contributed to Uma Musume Pretty Derby, while Junnosuke Itō is credited as the planner for the manga.

Taiyo Kuzumi's manga began serializing in Weekly Young Jump in June 2020, with Shueisha releasing its 20th collected volume on June 18, 2025. The series is currently on a pause as it prepares for its final arc, set to return on July 17. The narrative centers around the character Oguri Cap.

The Uma Musume Pretty Derby franchise has expanded significantly, featuring three anime seasons, the special Road to the Top, the spin-off Umayon, and the film Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Shinjidai no Tobira, which premiered in May 2024. Additionally, the franchise's popular mobile game debuted in February 2021, followed by a PC release in March, with an English version launched on June 26, 2025, for iOS and Android devices.
