The official website for the anime adaptation of Ghost Mikawa's light novel series, My Friend's Little Sister Has It In for Me!, recently unveiled its main promotional video, key visual, and an exciting release date of October 4. This new series will air on TV Asahi and its affiliates in the "NUMAnimation" programming block, starting at 1:30 a.m. JST. Following its initial airing, the show will also be available on BS11 on October 5 and AT-X starting October 6.

The trailer reveals both the vibrant opening theme song, "Uza Kawaikute Nani ga Warui!" (What's Wrong With Being Annoyingly Cute!) by Karubi Akami, and the closing theme, "Hoshi no Kodō" (Beat of the Star) by Kohana Lam.

The story centers around Akiteru Ooboshi, who, contrary to popular belief, is not enjoying a typical high school experience. He faces unwelcome teasing instead of affectionate interest, leading to a string of comically unfortunate interactions with the girls around him. Things take a turn when he must pretend to be his uncle's daughter's boyfriend to secure a job with his gaming development friends. His best friend's sister, Iroha, known for her relentless teasing, complicates matters further.

Returning to voice these beloved characters are notable talents, including Haruki Ishiya as Akiteru, Sayumi Suzushiro as Iroha, and Tomori Kusunoki as Mashiro. Directed by Kazuomi Koga at BLADE, the anime combines the efforts of scriptwriter Tōko Machida and character designer Katsuyuki Sato to bring this quirky school life comedy to life.

This adaptation follows the release of the first volume of the novels in April 2019, with the 11th volume published in March. A manga adaptation is also available on Square Enix's Manga UP! platform, with the 10th volume set to hit shelves on October 7.
