The trailer highlights the opening theme song "Nie" by Yoshino, known for her contributions to various anime openings. Yoshino expressed her desire to capture the intricate themes of love and obsession between the story's two main characters. Additionally, Reina Ueda will provide the ending theme song, titled "Lily," performed as her character, Hinako Yatose.
Originally serialized in Dengeki Maoh since August 2020, the manga has garnered a devoted following, with 10 volumes released to date. As the story unfolds, it follows high school student Hinako, who, after a chance encounter with a monstrous mermaid, finds herself navigating an unsettling relationship where her very survival hangs in the balance.
