Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy XIV Collaboration Unveiled
Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy XIV collaboration goes live!
The official YouTube channels for Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy XIV Online kicked off the streaming of trailers for their collaboration over the weekend, leading up to the highly anticipated update available starting today.
The Monster Hunter Wilds game introduces the Omega Planetes monster inspired by a creature from Final Fantasy XIV. Players can look forward to exciting additions such as the Dark Knight and Pictomancer jobs, a Chocobo skin for Seikrets, a Morbol skin for Palicoes, and Cactuars (Sabotenders), along with new pendants and Cactuar-like gestures. This collaboration requires players to reach HR 41+ and complete the main story for access to the content.
The Festival of Accord: Dreamspell seasonal event is scheduled from October 22 to November 12, featuring the Arch-tempered Nu Udra encounter. Notably, players will need to reach Level 100 and finish the Main Scenario to access this collaboration content, which will also include Seikrets as new mounts and the Guardian Arkveld as a new encounter.
Previously, Final Fantasy XIV and the Monster Hunter series collaborated during the Stormblood expansion and for Monster Hunter World back in 2017, introducing characters and gameplay elements from each franchise into the other.
Monster Hunter Wilds was globally launched on February 28 and has already achieved remarkable sales, surpassing 8 million copies within three days, marking it as one of the fastest-selling titles.
