Cameron Monaghan, the talented actor known for his iconic roles, recently revealed that his portrayal of Jedi Knight Cal Kestis is his favorite.

The Journey of Cal Kestis

Monaghan voiced Cal Kestis in the acclaimed games Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. During a fan screening for the Disney+ miniseries LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, he expressed his enthusiasm for exploring different facets of this beloved character.

“He's easily one of my favorite characters, if not my favorite character, I've ever gotten to play.”

This series allowed him to showcase a lighter side of Cal, contrasting with the more serious tones of the gameplay, which often delve into themes of peril and existential challenges for the character.

Upcoming Projects

Monaghan also confirmed that a third installment in the Star Wars Jedi game series is in the works, stating, “We're working on a third and we're in the process of doing that right now.” While he’s eager to continue this journey, he mentioned he’d be open to portraying Cal in live-action under the right circumstances.

Apart from Cal, Monaghan is recognized for his notable roles in other franchises. He played Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska in Gotham, which served as early inspirations for the Joker. Additionally, he voiced Kon-El (Superboy) in the animated film Reign of the Supermen.

His next project sees him entering another beloved sci-fi universe. He will star alongside Jared Leto in Tron: Ares, where he plays Caius, a combat program and member of Ares' elite forces, set to premiere on October 10.
