The engines are revving once again—MF GHOST is officially returning for a third season in January 2026. Today, the production team dropped a brand-new teaser visual, stoking excitement as the high-octane racing saga prepares to hit the track once more.

Helming Season 3 is Toshihito Naka (Initial D Legend 2: Racer), who returns to direct at Felix Film. Series composition is handled by Kenichi Yamashita (The Tale of Outcasts), while character designer Naoyuki Onda (PSYCHO-PASS) ensures the racers and their rides look as sharp as ever. The score will once again roar to life under the direction of Akio Dobashi (Yozakura Quartet). The series is based on the manga by Initial D creator Shuichi Shigeno, making MF GHOST a spiritual successor to the iconic street-racing legend.

For fans catching up, Crunchyroll currently streams the first two seasons. The platform describes the story as follows:

In 20XX, Japan embraces self-driving electric vehicles, leaving traditional gas engines in the dust. But speed still has a place in the world thanks to MFG, a high-stakes racing league held on Japanese highways. Drivers from across the globe test their limits for a shot at glory. Kanata Rivington, returning from Britain, enters the MFG not only to chase the title but also to uncover the mystery of his father.

With an experienced team in the driver’s seat and momentum from two successful seasons, MF GHOST is set to keep fans on edge with more burning rubber, roaring engines, and high-speed drama. Mark your calendars for January 2026—this ride is just getting started.
