Marvel Comics Announces Exciting Predator: Badlands Prequel Comic
A new prequel comic, Predator: Badlands, is set to delight fans!
Marvel Comics is set to expand the beloved Predator franchise with "Predator: Badlands," a prequel comic launching in November. Written by Ethan Sacks and illustrated by Elvin Ching, the comic will introduce readers to a young Yautja warrior on a thrilling mission. Tasked by his father to retrieve a piece of technology from a long-abandoned spacecraft, the young warrior soon discovers that nothing is as straightforward as it appears, especially with an ancient threat lurking in the shadows.
Sacks, a lifelong fan of the Predator series, expressed his excitement about the project, stating, "There is no bigger game than the chance to hunt with the Yautja." He highlighted the collaborative effort with filmmakers to ensure that the comic fits seamlessly into the larger cinematic narrative. Director Dan Trachtenberg also praised the comic as a perfect companion to the upcoming film, emphasizing its unique role in the franchise.
"Predator: Badlands" will explore the story of Dek, portrayed by Dimitrius Schuster-Kiloamatangi, who stands apart from his tribe as the outcast. The film, featuring Elle Fanning in dual roles, is set against the backdrop of a surprising alliance between Dek and Thia, a Weyland-Yutani synth. Fans can expect a thrilling blend of adventure and character exploration.
This exciting prequel comic will hit the shelves on November 12, mere days after the film premieres in theaters on November 7.
