Kouji Seo, renowned for his works like Fuuka and Suzuka, is set to launch a brand-new manga series in the seventh issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine on January 14, 2026. The series promises to be a captivating romantic comedy set on a remote island.
About the New Series
This announcement comes right after the conclusion of Seo's previous work, The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses. The latter features a storyline revolving around a young man named Hayato, who faces the challenge of managing his grandmother's café after her passing. Unbeknownst to him, five young women, who consider themselves part of his grandmother's family, inhabit the café and are determined to keep it running. The comic blends humor and warmth as Hayato navigates his responsibilities alongside these spirited women.

The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses was serialized since February 2021 and will conclude with its 22nd volume set for release on January 16, 2026. The series also received an anime adaptation that premiered its first season in April 2023 and a second season to follow in July 2024.
