Kimi wa Shūmatsu Manga Set to Launch This September

The upcoming manga by Nio Nakatani, titled Kimi wa Shūmatsu (You are the End), is set to launch in the October issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh on September 27. This highly anticipated release will feature a color opening page and take the prominent position on the magazine's front cover.

Nakatani is well-known for previously creating the manga God Bless the Mistaken (Kami-sama ga Machigaeru), which ran from October 2021 until its conclusion in November 2023. The series saw its final compiled volume released in January 2024, with Yen Press licensing it for digital and physical release in North America.

The creator made waves with the release of Bloom Into You (Yagate Kimi ni Naru) in April 2015, ending it in September 2019. This series not only garnered acclaim but was also adapted into an anime that premiered in October 2018 and a stage play that followed in May 2019. Seven Seas Entertainment has been responsible for publishing the English version and shipped its final volume in August 2020.

Nakatani's contributions to the yuri genre extend beyond these series, as she has produced a number of one-shot mangas and participated in five of Yen Press's Éclair yuri manga anthologies. The anticipation for Kimi wa Shūmatsu reflects her growing impact in the field.
