Kill Blue Anime Set for April 2026 Debut

The Jump Festa '26 event revealed an exhilarating new promotional video for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Tadatoshi Fujimaki's Kill Blue. The teaser not only showcased six additional cast members but also confirmed its premiere on TV Tokyo and associated networks in April 2026.

New Cast Members

The fresh characters introduced in the trailer include:

  • Yūko Sanpei as Juzo Ogami (youth)
  • Fūka Izumi as Noren Mitsuoka
  • Shūichirō Umeda as Kotatsu Nekota
  • Takeo Ōtsuka as Tenma Tendo
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Chisato Shiraishi
  • Yumi Uchiyama as Eri Wanibuchi

The promotional video also teased appearances by Shin Kohazame.

Behind the Scenes

Shunsuke Takeuchi will voice the adult version of Juzo Ogami, while Hiro Kaburagi, known for works such as Great Pretender and Hozuki's Coolheadedness, takes the helm as director through the newly formed company CUE. This is CUE's inaugural role as the primary animation studio. Character designs are crafted by Miho Daidōji, celebrated for her animation direction in Kuroko's Basketball.

Manga Background

Fujimaki began serializing the Kill Blue manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in April 2023, concluding it on September 1. The 13th and final volume was released on December 4, alongside a novel adaptation titled Kill Ao Secret Report by Kiyoko Hoshi. Viz Media is actively publishing the manga both digitally and in print.

The manga introduces legendary hitman Juzo Ogami, who discovers himself transformed back into a teenager and must navigate high school once again.

Viz Media continues to share the manga, with Volume 4 published on December 9, while MANGA Plus provides digital releases.
